AT&T Next and Premier eBill

With the AT&T Next℠ plan, a subscriber can purchase a new smartphone economically by spreading the cost of the device over a set number of months, with a low installment payment due monthly. The current charges for the billing account associated with the wireless numbers automatically includes any monthly installment payments along with the service charge and any past due balance. As a Premier eBill administrator, you can pay this total invoice amount using the One Time Payment page.

Each wireless number's installment plan specifies details such as the cost of the device, the amount being financed, the amount of each monthly payment, the number of payments until the device is paid in full, and the number of payments that must be paid before the device is eligible for an upgrade (that is, 12 or 18 months).

For eligible installment plans, administrators can pay off the balance and own the device now, or they can pay to upgrade the device now by paying the number of installments required. A Pay Off and Pay To Upgrade payment, toward one or more installment plans, can be included with the total invoice amount when making a payment using the One Time Payment page. This enables Premier eBill administrators to pay everything online with a single transaction.

To view the active installment plans for wireless numbers under a billing account, go to the Invoice Summary page, and under Detail Charges, click Installment Payment Schedules.

The Installment Plan Information page appears. The top of the page shows hierarchy information. The table in the center of the page shows summary information for each installment plan, the amount required to pay off the device, and the amount required to upgrade the device now.

  • To view a technical specifications document, click Data Dictionary.
  • To extract the data into a CSV file for viewing and storing locally, click the A folder icon.
  • To see a schedule of the plan's installment payments and the status of each installment payment, click Installment Plan ID.
  • To view the Subscriber Summary page for the number, click the wireless number.
  • To hide or add columns, place your cursor on a column heading and click the arrow. From the list that appears, check or uncheck each column's checkbox as appropriate.
  • To make a column the primary sort column, click its heading. To reverse the sort order, click the same column heading again.
  • To search for a plan by its Plan ID or associated wireless number, click the magnifying glass.
  • To sequentially page through multiple pages, click the right and left arrows.
  • To refresh the data, click the circulating arrows.

How to Pay Off or Pay to Upgrade a Device

Administrators can make a payment toward any eligible plan.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • To pay off the remaining balance and own the device now, check its Pay Off Amount checkbox.
    • To pay the amount necessary to make the device eligible for an upgrade now, check its Pay to Upgrade Amount checkbox.
  2. Click Continue. The One Time Payment page appears. Administrators can now pay just the Pay Off and Pay To Upgrade amounts, or they can pay these amounts plus the current invoice in a single transaction.
